Long-term Income due to our Optional Letting Management

The apartments at Andermatt Swiss Alps are usually used as holiday homes. If doing so they can be let to holiday guests during the absence of their proprietors, and will therefore generate income. The Village Management Company of Andermatt Swiss Alps and the Radisson Blu Hotel will promote the rental of apartments to holiday guests. This includes all services related to letting apartments (i.e. customer care, cleaning, maintenance, accounting).

The first landmark of Andermatt Swiss Alps will be the 5-star Superior Hotel The Chedi Andermatt, the first location of the prestigious hotel group in Europe. The hotel comprises of 50 hotel rooms,106 residential units and 13 luxurious penthouses, which are for sale. Two restaurants, a cigar lounge, a wine library and various bars provide quality dining, including the first Asian restaurant concept in Urserental. Following the tradition of The Chedi hotels, The Chedi Andermatt has an exclusive spa area, with a modern fitness centre.

The unique architecture of the hotel was created by the renowned Denniston International Architects & Planners Ltd, (Kuala Lumpur, Singapore,) as well as Germann & Achermann (Altdorf, Switzerland). True to the philosophy of sustainability, the Chedi Andermatt complies with the MINERGIE-Standard and buildings are made with materials native to the region. The opening of this exclusive hotel is planned for late 2013. The Chedi Andermatt will set new standards in the Alps.

Nestled in Urserental, Andermatt is surrounded by untouched Alpine scenery. No Restrictions for International Property Buyers in Andermatt

By Swiss federal law, non-Swiss nationals are subject to restrictions when purchasing real estate in Switzerland. The aim of the regulations commonly known as Lex Koller is to limit the purchase of Swiss real estate by foreign investors. In particular, the acquisition of residential property is severely restricted by this legislation. International buyers must usually go through a lengthy, expensive and uncertain approval process at cantonal and municipal level in order to purchase properties.
In the case of Andermatt Swiss Alps, the situation is totally different. The entire project was given exemption from Lex Koller by a resolution agreed by the Swiss government on 21 December 2007. International investors thus are enjoying the same protection and privileges as Swiss buyers and are able to purchase and resell real estate from Andermatt Swiss Alps, with no restrictions. This exemption applies until at least 31 December 2030.
